What to Bring to the Youth Winter Retreat
February 16th-19thEach youth is allowed one carry-on size backpack and one duffel bag or carry-on size suitcase.
Sleeping Essentials:
Sleeping bag or bedding
Pillow
Winter Activities:
Warm, layered clothing (snow gear for outdoor activities)
Gloves, hats, and scarves
Snow boots
Comfortable shoes for indoor activities
Light Snacks:
A few snacks to share with the group (optional)
Personal Items:
Journal and pen
Bible
Water bottle
Shower and Personal Hygiene Items:
2-3 Towels
Shampoo, conditioner, soap
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Deodorant
Any necessary medications
Shower sandals
Make sure to pack everything your child will need to stay warm, comfortable and focused during the retreat! If you have any questions or need further details, feel free to reach out.

The retreat is centered around encountering the Holy Spirit through worship, the Word, and fellowship.
Activities include:
Daily worship sessions
Teaching and small group discussions
Fellowship and team-building games
Snow Tubing
Quiet time for personal reflection and prayer

Rooms will be assigned based on gender. Boys will room with boys and girls with girls, with leaders in each room to provide supervision and guidance. If your student has a specific roommate request, please let us know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

We will have two nurses on-site throughout the retreat. If your student has any medical needs, allergies, or requires medication, please inform us before the trip. All medications should be labeled and will be kept securely with the nurses.

Departure: We will be traveling by coach bus and leaving on Sunday at 2:00 PM from Word of Life Church (1308 Phenix Ave, Cranston, RI 02921). Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and load up.
Arrival: We will arrive at Word of Life in Cranston, RI at approximately 3:00 PM.

Service Nights
These nights consist of a time of worship and biblical message catered specifically for this age group. Followed by a fun after party with games and food.

Crew Nights
Twice a month the Youth gather into small groups based on their age range. Crews are designed to create a deeper sense of community & we believe no one should go through life alone.
A safe space to create friendships and foster spiritual growth.
