TESTIMONY: Concepcion Pacheco
My father died from a rare cancer when I was 12 and shortly I watched my mother fight to defeat breast cancer. This led to our home being taken away by the bank and a down spiral in my life.
Partying, smoking, selling and doing drugs was a way of life for me and so were run ins with the law. Sin made me selfish, apathetic, and irresponsible, and having one of my closest friends murdered made things even worse. I became cold, calloused, and emotionless.
Years later I remember sitting in a holding cell dealing with very serious charges. This is what finally caused me to beg God to intervene in my life. I was unworthy, but God heard my cry and made a way out for me. And I know it was Him who led me to Legacy Church. Although I walked in addicted and confused I knew this was the place for my life to be put back together. I was tired of failing and tired of letting everyone down around me.
I can honestly say I am now a different person and there is a God who heals, restores and dispenses peace. He has taken me places I never thought I would be and has blessed my life with a beautiful wife and 2 beautiful children. There is a God and I met him at Legacy Church. My hope and prayer is others as down as I used to be will cry out to Jesus too.
As a church we do not believe in doing life alone. We want to pray with you.
Growing up in Providence my mom raised 4 girls on her own. As a kid I ran away and looked for an outlet through drugs and broken relationships…
