Lindsey and I had been dating for over four years and were happily engaged when we were faced with a situation that could have easily torn us apart. I wasn't a believer at the time. Instead, I spent the better part of 26 years seeking my own desires, only to be left feeling empty and poor, despite the material things I had lusted after and obtained.
By the grace of God I followed my wife into the church, still stubborn and prideful at first, but eventually I let my guard down and opened my heart. After a few months, I had come to feel the undeniable presence of the Holy Spirit moving in our lives. As our faith grew, we longed for relationships with people we could share our faith and grow with. That is when we saw a friend post "#KnowNewFriends" and we asked him to save us seats at his Church, Legacy Church, the following Sunday. We were so warmly welcomed and touched by the worship and message, that we knew we had found what we were looking for; a new family, a new place to call home, a new life.
