LeadTip #14 The Lord’s compassion never fails

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,for his compassions never fail.

They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;therefore I will wait for him.” Lamentations 3:22-24

The cares and burdens of this world are to heavy for anyone to carry alone. Right from creation we see the need for a helper. Adam was given Eve, but you have been given a more perfect helper, the Holy Spirit. The same Holy Spirit who empowered Jesus! In addition, Jesus has also blessed you with the Church, His family.

The Holy Spirit is the comforter, the enabler, , the reminder and illuminator of truth You can call upon Him in every situation. It’s His presence you feel in worship, His voice you hear when you read the Bible, and His power you receive to overcome fear, worry, sorrow, unbelief, anguish and hopelessness.

The Holy Spirit is a person who never leaves you nor forsakes you. He is your new mercy every morning! He is your supernatural source of strength, faith, hope and joy. He is not only in you, but by your side. He is a person you can talk to!

God has unending love, compassion and fresh mercy for you every morning. He understands your hurts, disappointment, failures and your need for acceptance and affirmation. But we learn in Lamentations the Lord must be your portion. He is the one who has what you need. You must apprehend renewing power, mercy, forgiveness and spiritual refreshing from Him.

You can not live in this world solely on human strength, reasoning, intellect and on what the world sees as success. This is never enough and people are never enough. The Lord is your portion and He has a table in the wilderness, the Church, a banqueting table of spiritually nourishing food and friends for you to live life to the fullest.
