As a woman, you have the power to make or break your home. My struggle has been (and sometimes still is) with anger and self control. I’ve historically been a very “speak every bit of my mind” kind of person. I think this personality type is culturally glorified today in women. Over time, I’ve made incredible progress in being intentional with my words and attitude within my home. This Scripture really helped me to understand the influence I have over my home atmosphere.

I’ve learned to declare to myself in moments of anger that I WILL NOT tear down my home. Not every thought needs to be spoken aloud. Your words have power. You set the tone for your home. You ALONE are responsible for your response REGARDLESS of other people’s actions. If you struggle with anger, do the work for you and your family, but just know that God has never loved you any more than He does right now.
