Legacy Youth shattering statistics about the fatherless
People often feel bad for young people who have experienced trauma and are living destructive lives. But most people feel helpless in trying to make a difference. But there is hope! The Legacy Church Youth Team and many church youth groups are shattering negative statistics about the fatherless. They are bringing spiritual awakening and hope to many who feel abandoned and hopeless. Church youth groups are providing the acceptance, love, support and community every young person needs in their lives.
Now more than ever our young people need to know they do have a Father who will never abandon them. They need to know they do have a family where they can find meaning and purpose for their lives. Some will say the church is no longer relevant, but statistics will prove them wrong time after time. The church, God’s family, is the hope of the world, and is more relevant today than ever. The church is the very place where people find the perfect Father, a heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and people who care. Telling a young person about Jesus and inviting them to encounter a youthful Spirit filled church experience may literally be saving their lives on earth, as well as eternally.
Legacy Youth has different gathering times throughout the week:
Youth Service: On the first Friday of every month, the youth gather for worship, a special talk and food
Crews: This is a Weekly gathering for Youth, ages 13-early 20's
Hangouts: The fourth Friday of every month, Legacy Youth has a hangout in the community. It can be the Movies, bowling, or other fun events
Sunday Momentum: This is Legacy’s Jr High Ministry. Every Sunday at 10:30 am 5th - 8th grade
It is no coincidence Jesus taught us to pray “Our Father who art in heaven...” He also told us, “And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.” Matthew 23:9. The Lord knew the condition of humanity and that is why He died for us.
