LeadTip #6 Minister to Those Around You
“When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?” On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” Mark 2:16-17
It is so important to be deliberate in opening our lives to those who have yet to receive Jesus in their lives. Some Christians are called to street ministry, but most are simply called to those God puts around them at work, in their neighborhood, and to unsaved family members and friends. Also, it is amazing how many hurting and lost people walk into churches every week being brought there by the Holy Spirit.
There is nothing more exciting than seeing the birth of a newborn child. Natural birth and spiritual birth are both miracles that bring great joy to all involved. If you want continuous joy in your life, take time for those who have yet to experience the love of Christ and salvation. Have a cup of coffee with them, share a meal, or just say hello to a new person in church and let the Holy Spirit minister through you.
Seek wisdom and understanding before making life altering decisions. God wants the best for our lives.
Faith is something that needs to be fed. Faith is what causes us to make decisions that oppose unbelief, fear, carnal desires, emotions, and cultural deceptions.
The church is how Jesus calls us, gathers us and prepares us for His return. It is the most important thing happening on the earth.
There will be many voices throughout your life calling to you and trying to gain your allegiance.
Leaders must have patience and overwhelming love for those they are called to mentor and equip.
When you as a leader see something that is outright hurtful to the life of a person, or hear of sin in the camp, you must act.
Along with other important requirements, God requires leaders in His organization, the church, to be hospitable.
Setting your priorities on a to- do list is greatly beneficial to your productivity and efficiency for the day ahead.
