LeadTip #23 God is good and wants better for you

“‘“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’ Numbers 6:25-26

This priestly prayer of blessing reveals the heart of God. God is with you and for you. He is gracious and wants you to succeed in whatever you set your mind, heart and hands to do. Live with holy assurance the favor of God is upon your life. Speak blessing over yourself, your family, your church and all your endeavors.

You can only lead others into abundant life if you yourself believe God is good and wants better for you.

There will always be distractions and detractors to try to dissuade you out of following the dreams and visions God may place in your heart. You must ignore negative reports and criticalness. When Moses sent 12 spies to search out the promised land only Joshua and Caleb presented a positive report. Heed only those God puts in your life to help you achieve His plans.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Having been involved in building a church, school, daycare and ministries, I have learned there are many opinions. There will be those with you and for you, but sad to say, not everyone. Advice and counsel is a blessing and should always be considered, but you must discern between godly input and voices of carnality and the enemy. You need to know when to say “get behind me Satan” just as Jesus did when confronted with a challenge to the very purpose of His life.

Your life is covered by this eternal blessing God asked His priests to pray over His people.
