Stronger & Better, Part 3: Wash Your Hands (Pastor Ron Termale)
God turns things around that were intended for harm and uses them for His glory.
Joseph was sold by his brothers into slavery, but he ends up becoming the ruler of Egypt and saving many lives during a seven-year famine (Gen 50:20).
Jesus says that the thief (Satan) comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but that He comes to give abundant life (John 10:10).
Sin is the root or bug of all problems that can derail your life. We must swat that bug immediately.
Cain failed to master his sinful desire like God told him to, and it caused him to murder his brother and become a restless wanderer (Gen 4:7).
You cannot minimize sin’s power. You have to fight it and deal with it.
If your life is tipping, do not fix it your way (like Uzzah does for the tipping Ark of the Covenant in 2 Sam 6:6-7 by casually touching it himself, which was an irreverent act that God struck him down for). Allow God to fix your life His way.
We need to taste and see that the LORD is good whenever sin is tempting us (Ps 34:8).
David has a revelation that he can only dwell in God’s presence if he has clean hands, a pure heart, and has not devoted himself to any idols (Psalm 24 – a psalm which may have been written after the Uzzah incident; see also 2 Sam 6:8-11).
As we enter into this new year (2021) with prayer and fasting at Legacy, let us ask God to cleanse our hands, hearts, and lives as we seek Him for a mighty move of revival in our church, families, nation, and world.
