TESTIMONY: Jaime Santiago
I felt God calling me for a couple of years. Although I didn't purposely ignore the feelings, I put them on the back burner. I felt unworthy and spiritually broken and was battling with anxiety and depression. I started expressing to Abner we should find a church. Unlike me, he was raised in a Christian family so he would often talk to me about God in ways that were foreign to me. I wanted to know more, and I no longer wanted to live a fear based life. As a mother and a partner I knew I needed to get healthy. No therapy or anxiety pill could heal my soul.
One day I received a random friend request from someone who attends Legacy Church. I didn't know it yet, but that request saved me and my family. I started researching the church and decided to give it a try. We finally picked a date on the calendar and just committed to it. As soon as we approached the parking area we felt welcome. Even the parking attendants were smiling. There was a sense of family, positive energy, and life. My heart was telling me that I was home. I learned who God was, and that he loved me more than I even knew was possible. I learned anxiety and depression are not from God, and he doesn't want us to live with guilt and shame.
As a church we do not believe in doing life alone. We want to pray with you.
